Entrance Fees: Entrance Fees include: a) One Fishing shirt and one hat per each competing Angler. c) Anglers Marine Park Fees per each competing day. d) Boat Marine Park fees per each competing day. e) One food coupon per each competing angler and per each competing day. f) One ice block per boat per each competing day. g) Transport of competing boat's fuel to Sinda Island for "day two". Entrance Fee: 50,000 TShs per participants. Junior's Entrance Fee: 25,000 TShs per each competing day. A Junior Angler is anyone under the age of 17 years old at the close of official registrations. All Junior's Parents MUST sign an indemnity form prior to the competition or their Children's Entry will not qualify. You can find the Indemnity form at the Office, please ask to DYC Assistant Manager, Miss Judy Okoth or to Dimitra. All Entrance Fees should be paid at the Office to our Assistant Manager Miss Judy Okoth before 18h00 13th September 2010. No Entries or changes will be accepted after this time. Entrance fees are not refundable. Briefing A briefing to Skippers will be held on Thursday 16th September 2010 at 18h00 in the Committee Room All skippers will attend the briefing to explain the rules and safety procedures for the competition. Fuelling procedures will also be explained to the skippers. A Vodacom bag will be distributed to each skipper during the briefing. Each bag will contain: a) One Fishing shirt and one hat per each competing Angler. b) One T-shirts for one crew member (if any) and one for the skipper (if any). c) One weigh sheet per each angler per each competing day. d) Tagging ID for the 1st day for tag and release purposes. Tags for the 2nd day will be issued on Sinda Island. e) One food coupon for day "one", per each competing angler (food coupons for day "two" per each competing angler will be distibuted at Sinda Island) Food coupons for Skippers and crews can be purchased/signed at the Island. For details ask to Miss Judy Okoth at the office. f) Copy of the rules. g) Tie wraps (for day one) in different colors, one color per each competing angler (tie wraps for day two will be distributed at Sinda Island). h) One measuring stick, in order to measure the minimum size of 80 cm fork length. Silent Auction A silent Auction will start at the close of the official registrations on Monday 13th September at 18h00. You can find the Silent Auction Board at the quarter deck. All the competing boats and their participants/crews will be listed. Anyone can start bidding on any of the listed boats by entering full details and bidding amounts. The aim is to over-top the last bid. The highest bid, by the close of the Silent Auction will go forward to the Open Auction as "reserved starting bid". The silent Auction will stop at the beginning of the official Open Auction. Please remember to pay for your bid at the office (ask for Miss Judy Okoth) before the closing of the Silent Auction. NOW YOU CAN BID ON LINE : Bid Here Open Auction The Open Auction will be held on the quarter deck on Thursday 16th September at 19h00. All the competing boats will be listed on the final Auction Board as well as their team and crew. The Open Auctioning will start at the reserved bid obtained during the Silent Auction. Bidding will commence and the highest bid amount in TSH will be written against the auctioned boat. If no-one over-bids, the Silent Auction bids carry forward. The total POT collected will be distributed as follows: Team Boat 1st place- highest bid receives 40% of the POT. Team Boat 2nd place- highest bid receives 25% of the POT. Team Boat 3rd place- highest bid receives 15% of the POT. 10% will go to a charity of the Clubs choice. Remaining 10% will go to DYC Fishing Section. Please remember to settle your bills and Auction bids before the starting of Competition. Bidders who have not settled their bills (if participants, skippers or crew members) will not be allowed to compete in the competition even if they have registered and paid the entrance fees In the case that a competing boat will not be able to leave the moorings or to compete for any given reason, the money bidded on this boat will not be reimbursed. The Latham Calcutta Boats wishing to participate in the Calcutta are required to pay TZS 100,000 entry fee. The winner will be the first boat to catch a Marlin and call in by radio. That boat will take the total POT. Safety All boats that are powered with a single engine must bring along an auxiliary engine for safety reasons or their entry will not be accepted. All boats must have a working VHF radio and other safety equipment. |
